Arkaba Lone Graves

There are at least two graves at Arkaba Station. Mary Ann, wife of George Thompson, who died on 22 April 1868, age 28 years. George Thompson, postmaster and storekeeper and husband of Mary. He died on 13 September 1873, age 41 years, 'after having destroyed his life by taking poison'. Unfortunately permission to take photographs of the headstones was refused.
